Nancy Housley Walsh

I have been travelling around Ontario in my life. I left Riverside for a year in Toronto, then London for a year and then back to Toronto. I have lived in Aurora, Clifford, Stratford twice and many years in Toronto. In 1990 I returned to Stratford and will make Stratford my home. I do miss Toronto. My mother moved to Stratford 14 years ago bringing all my Ontario family together. My youngest headed back to Toronto a couple of years ago. That gives me all the city life I need for now.

My memories are many. We lived across the street from RHS on Esdras. Going from the school to the gym at the United church in our bloomers (imagine!). Living in the no-what-ever radius of the school. No smoking, no loitering, no visiting the Glidden Dairy Bar during school times...and many more no can do's that Mr. Walton thought of. One day I was hauled into his office because I was talking to a boy in a car!!! Mr. Walton said it was very bad morals to stand at the curb and talk to a boy (Riverside High honour student) in a car. My parents were very upset when they had to go to the school to talk to Mr. Walton. :)) funny now but not then.
